With every new person that comes into my life, it’s a reminder of how small our world really is. Kinsey(mom) and I are 3 of 3 with places we are from. Kinsey also originally from Virginia, went to high school just up the road from me, and dad Aaron from Louisiana- (where I have spent the last 4 years being a LSU grad) are both transplants to west coast just like Luke and I. With every conversation we had, it’s like we were destined to meet!
Mom Kinsey sent a wonderful message to me, 8 days ago to tell me ‘baby is on her way.’ But she closed the message with, ‘but dad is leaving in 5 days.” Dad Aaron serves our country as a US Marine, and is currently doing a pre-deployment work up before he leaves for Afghanistan. The usual couple, is said to get 10 days together when the baby is born, but with the regimented training, Kinsey was just happy they had 5! Her optimistic attitude really graced me, it’s not the time she didn’t get, it’s what she had! Because dad is said to leave within the next couple of months, we wanted to send him off with images to remind him, of what he has at home waiting.
